One of the first things I created using Joomla was an internal communication system for a large organization. This is called an intranet. An intranet is a private network accessible only to the staff of an organization.
In this particular case the intranet helped solve a problem that is common in a lot of businesses, the problem of internal silos and miscommunication between departments.Add a comment
On January 20, 2017 a small but very talented group of Joomlers descended on London England for a Joomla! Super Sprint. There's a reason it's called a 'Super Sprint'. This was one of the best Joomla events that I have participated in.
There were some questions ahead of the event about the value for the money that was being spent for it. I can say with absolute confidence that it was tremendous value for the money. I also think some of the elements of the Super Sprint should be in all Joomla events.Add a comment
Last August of 2015 Open Source Matters (OSM) published a request for proposal for companies to submit offers to provide video training for Joomla websites. The video training is to be provided free to anyone that wishes to learn how to use Joomla.
The winner of the RFP is OSTraining but the real winners are the hundreds of thousands of people who use Joomla every day for their websites.
Preparations are well under way for the launch of the site and it should be live near the end of May 2016.Add a comment
