 After 15,984 Posts in 1,140 topics over the past 4 years the JoeJoomla forums are closed to commenting or starting new threads. The very last post was my own; 'Posting In The JoeJoomla Forums Has Come To An End' which gave less than a week's warning that it was over.
In the beginning there were several enthusiastic people who helped answer questions and did other stuff to help out in the forum. Then over time these good people became very busy with their own life and other ventures. Eventually it all came down to one person doing all of the administration and help in the forum; me.
This was OK while I was employed full time and did this on the side but once you became self employed time is at a premium. I had to trim some things from life and the JoeJoomla forum became a casualty of those decisions.
The other day someone instant messaged me to ask what happened to the forum. I told this person I could no longer do it and had to devote more time to earning a living. This was understood and then came the following comment:
 so good luck to you! and just for the record, your forum was the BEST out of ANY Joomla forum I've been on. You've always been so kind and patient, helpful and knowledgeable. Most forums just have NONE of those qualities!
What a nice way to end it, with one of the loveliest compliments anyone could hope for. I'm glad it was appreciated and I am sorry it had to close down. The forum did what it was originally intended to do. It was a place to make friends and to have some fun. We certainly did all that. Thanks to everyone that participated along the way.
