First I want to thank you for your excellent tutorial about installing Joomla! locally with MAMP.
After trying to follow the Joomla! help it was such a relief to get all the details. And even though it's a little different than your install directions for Joomla! 1.0x, with your instructions together with the Joomla! documetation, my installation of Joomla! 1.5 was successful.
